Why Teach?
When it comes to why I want to become a teacher, I've always known that it's what I wanted to do. I grew up as an only child and I was constantly coming up with ways to entertain myself, one of the things I did was play "school" with my stuffed animals. Doing that made me really passionate to become a teacher and ever since then I have made it my dream to be a real teacher! Originally I wanted to teach elementary school, however recently I discovered that I have a passion for working with middle-aged children. I worked as a camp counselor over the summer and I realized that younger kids aren't a good fit for me. In high school I was a part of the teacher prep program and doing that also helped grow my passion for teaching. I would love to teach middle school or high school. I really enjoy working with the middle grades because they are a lot easier to talk to and they are able to be more independent. The ideal subject I would teach would be physical education ...
